Student Placement
We recognize all students learn differently and have unique traits that may make them more successful in certain environments. We strive to place each child in an optimal learning environment by considering learning styles, emotional needs, social needs, and overall classroom climate.
If you feel it would be helpful for us to have additional information regarding your child's teacher placement, we invite you to complete our optional student placement form. This form is shared to this page each February to guide placement for the following year. This is your chance to tell us more about your student's unique needs in order to help us make the best match and provide them with the best experience possible.
We thank you for your cooperation in not requesting a specific teacher for your child. Please trust that we will make the best placement for your child based on your input.
Our criteria for placement decisions include:
- Learning style(s) of student
- Specific behavioral needs
- Balance of achievement levels
- Placement of students who work well together
- Balance of class size
- Parental input based on specific educational needs
- Balance of boys and girls in each class
- Other factors as identified
